Langley Ladeez raise £2.5K for Cancer Research UK
A team of eight Langley Ladeez took part in the Rugby Race for Life 5K event on Sunday 31st July raising more than £1,250 between them.
This total has been doubled to a fantastic £2,500 as the company pledged to match the participant’s contribution.
Office Manager, Stuart Mundell, commented, ‘We were happy to support our employees in this event for what is an exceptional cause. We feel that as a company we should help where we can when our employees take the time and effort to help charities such as Cancer Research UK.’
The Langley Ladeez ran, jogged and walked the race posting times from 33 minutes to just under an hour - all finishing with smiles on their faces! Their contribution was picked up by local radio station Heart FM who gave the team a ‘shout out’ on the radio and posted a photo on their website.
Stuart finishes, ‘we are all very pleased with the amount raised and would like to thank those who supported our team with donations.’
