Langley PMA-20 Paving Polymer Modified Asphalt Roofing System

The PMA-20 Paving system, part of the Langley Paraphalt range, is a high performance, polymer modified asphalt system for flat roof balcony and walking areas. Paraphalt PMA is laid in the traditional way* with added durability and enhanced flexibility due to the rubber polymer modification. This system carries an independently insured guarantee for 20 years for both materials and workmanship.

When to Specify

For new-build or refurbishment projects. Also suitable for screeded concrete decks.

(1) Porous Concrete Tiles, 25mm thick, 5.2kg/m².

(2) Paraphalt Polymer Modified Asphalt**, 25mm thick (2 coates, 10mm & 15mm/Gritted), 60.65kg/m².

(3) Sheathing Felt, 3mm thick, 1.9kg/m².

(4) Concrete Deck.

Total System Weight = 67.75 kg/m²

* In accordance BS 8218: 1998, BS 8000: Part 4: 1989, and the recommendations of the Mastic Asphalt Council.
** With porous concrete promenade tile wearing surface.

Durability

All the characteristics of traditional mastic asphalt but with the added benefit of a polymer modification, resulting in an extremely robust and durable covering with added flexibility.

Resistance

Asphalt is completely protected from UV attack and mechanical damage etc. Monolithic seamless finish.

Lifespan

Long term solution, life expectancy in excess of 30 years.

Proven

Proven track record, mastic asphalt is one of the oldest waterproofing materials still in continuous use.

Guarantee

The system carries a 20 year independently insured guarantee for both materialand workmanship.
Can only be installed by approved MACCF contractors to ensure product quality is maintained.
A full range of accessories/supporting products are included under a single comprehensive guarantee, which includes: rooflights, refurbishment outlets, vents, lead-free flashings, edge trims etc.
