Frogmore Junior School

Langley was selected to carry out a full condition survey of the flat roofs by Hampshire County Council, the design consultant and project manager for this installation. The work was part of a major upgrade to the buildings across the school’s estate. The roofs were found to be dry which enabled Langley to specify an overlay of the existing roof system as a cost-effective solution, extending the lifespan of the roofs without replacing them.

Langley Approved Contractor Salnor Roofing Services Ltd carried out the work to an excellent standard, during term time. They carried out extensive preparation work, removing redundant penetrations and raising the window cill level. Internal rainwater outlets were refurbished, and a bespoke perimeter detail installed in order to accommodate the increased width of the building’s new insulated perimeter cladding.

The school now has peace of mind thanks to a 20 year independent insurance backed guarantee which includes, in this case, the underlying roof which had been thoroughly examined in the Langley survey.
