Lacy House

Previous remedial works to this housing block in Chichester had proved ineffective and rainwater was penetrating the flats below. Langley’s condition report identified that it was necessary to strip all roofs back to the vapour barrier, in order to implement a comprehensive solution.

Richard Soan Roofing Services, a Langley Approved Contractor, completed the project to an extremely high standard, successfully managing the technical challenges. These included raising the roof perimeter curb to accommodate new tapered insulation, and stripping and re-lining the existing mansard perimeter box gutters. They also replaced all the rooflights and access hatches.

The Safe2Torch guidelines were observed at all relevant locations, and the client was extremely pleased with the way that the contractor managed the project, particularly as the building was occupied throughout the project by its community of elderly residents.
