Langley was selected to assist in the roof refurbishment of this residential project in collaboration with Southampton City Council. A thorough bespoke roof condition survey and report were prepared with recommendations provided for an improved waterproofing solution of the main roof of this housing block. Additional assessments included core sample analysis which indicated the presence of moisture in the existing RBM overlay of the original asphalt roof.

Langley fully assessed and deemed the integrity of the original asphalt to be suitable for a new overlay system and Langley Approved Contractor, Breyer Group competently installed the new roof without the need for the structural deck to be fully exposed. Langley’s TA-20 insulated tapered warm roof system was installed providing significantly improved drainage whilst upgrading the thermal performance of the roof to comply with Part L1B regulations.

The completed project resulted in both the considerate and successful installation of a new roof waterproofing system with minimum disruption to residents and supported by an independent insurance backed guarantee of 20 years.
