St Pancras Way

Wind-driven rain had caused leaks through the roof of this residential building for many years, as the original aluminium profiled flat roof was not watertight. The building owner had had been experiencing problems with the roof over a long period, necessitating ongoing repairs on a regular basis. Having been recommended to the client, Langley was able to offer a solution to the problem, carrying out a full condition survey and presenting a bespoke design solution based on a Langley Liquid Roofing System.

Langley Approved Contractor, Skyler Contracting Ltd applied a carrier membrane and the liquid system after remedial works had been carried out on the building. All the gutters, upstands and kerbs had to be lined with WBP plywood and Paratene Self-Adhesive Carrier Membrane before application of the Paracoat liquid system to prevent future ingress of water.

Workmanship was to a very high standard and was carried out at height with the support of a fall arrest system. Additional challenges included intricate detailing to the kerbs and upstands. The contractor worked closely with the tenants of the property to ensure that their daily activities were not disrupted. The roof is now covered by Langley’s market-leading 20 year independent insurance backed guarantee.
