Clitheroe Golf Club

The proximity of pitched roofs and upstands were identified as potential fire risks by Langley’s comprehensive roof condition survey, requiring a flame free system. Langley’s survey highlighted that despite a multitude of ageing roof systems which had been repaired over the years, some areas were suitable to overlay the original asphalt and reinforced bituminous membrane. Debenham High School

Debenham High School became an Academy in 2011 and inherited buildings dating back to 1960s, including those with several leaking roofs. Langley worked alongside Debenham High School and Archer Building Consultancy to produce extensive condition reports and specifications to facilitate the securing of funds for refurbishment through the CIF. Grange Primary School

Essex County Council selected Langley to carry out a comprehensive condition survey of their school’s roofs as they had been suffering from severe leaks to classrooms and corridor areas. The survey revealed an area of wet and defective insulation on one of the three roofs and Langley proposed a localised strip of the wet and defective area only. All other roof areas remained watertight, despite being near the end of their lifespan and were therefore suitable for overlay, making this a cost-effective solution for the client....

St Angela's Ursuline School

The main hall roof of this Roman Catholic girls’ school needed urgent attention and Langley’s comprehensive roof condition survey revealed that water ingress was being caused by wind-driven rain, and also that the roof had minimal insulation. Part of the Diocese of Brentwood, the school was built in 1862, and pupils had been using the flat roof as an elevated playground area.
