Contractor of the Month, January 2020

We would like to congratulate Langley Approved Contractor, London Felt Roofing Ltd on their Contractor of the Month award win. This is for their high standard of workmanship carried out on 14-15 Berners Street, West London.

Upon condition report and specification, Langley deemed the roof estate on 14-15 Berners Street beyond repair due to water ingress issues. London Felt Roofing, therefore, worked closely with the client and with Langley to complete a roof replacement.

Along the way, there were technical challenges that had to be overcome:

  • There were different deck types which called for two Langley systems to be used. SA-20 Flame Free System was used on the timber deck and for concreate the TA-20 Flat Roofing System
  • New penetration details had to be made for new planting and servicing equipment, this included the removal of some of the internal ceiling, which had to be carefully coordinated with the client for the safety of those who occupy the building
  • At the time of installation, there were high winds, therefore no loose debris could be left at roof level overnight as part of the comprehensive health and safety plan

Despite the challenges throughout the project, London Felt Roofing overcame each challenge faced and accomplished a high standard of workmanship and installation.

Congratulations again London Felt Roofing.
