Our Head of Training ‘finds his feet’.

Mark Dunn, Head of Training has just achieved the impressive feat of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for a charity called ‘Finding your Feet’.

Finding your Feet supports families affected by amputation or limb difference, through a range of sporting initiatives and social inclusion products. Mark decided to make a difference, by raising funds to support the charity.

At the heart of the climb was Corrine Hutton, a quadruple amputee. Corrine kept Mark going every step of the way, “she was amazing” Mark quoted. He was full of praise for the way that Corrine coped with the gruelling journey. Mark said that every day, as they climbed higher, every step was an effort and breathing became more and more difficult. There were emotional highs and lows after such an unforgettable experience.

After many hurdles and rocky paths, Mark finally achieved his goal of reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro at a height of 19,341ft on Friday 5th October 2018. Mark reported that he was “looking forward to a hot shower, a comfortable bed and a proper pillow.” Well done Mark, you made it!
